Medicine App Redesign

Overview

This project comprised of a group of three people, where we collaborated to create prototypes for a medicine app called Medicat. We tackled the currently existing usability and user experience related issues by comparing three existing medicine adherence apps through a variety of methods. And then created a design for our app, Medicat, based on the inferences from these quantitative and qualitative measures.

Methods

We used a variety of qualitative and quantitative methods to come up with our own design. These methods included creating Personas, Context Analysis, Competitor Analysis, Task Analysis, Heuristic Evaluation, Quantitative User Testing, Design Thinking Workshop, and Prototyping.

Final Prototypes

For the final prototypes, our team decided to create paper prototypes because we wanted design flexibility that enabled us to incorporate all the recommendation in a rather explorative and open way. While designing our prototypes we incorporated all the recommendations that were inferenced after analyzing our results.  We focused on improving user experience related design issues and added a couple of new and ingenuine features. We also catered to usability related problems that surfaced during our user testing stage and design thinking workshop.
