Architects' Website Redesign

Objective

To create a user-centric, modern, and visually appealing online presence for a leading architectural firm that effectively showcases their portfolio of projects, communicates their design philosophy, and facilitates client engagement.

Role

As the lead UX/UI designer, I was responsible for:

  • Conducting preliminary research to understand the industry standards and the unique needs of an architectural firm.

  • Analyzing the existing website to identify pain points and areas of improvement.

  • Crafting user personas based on potential website visitors: clients, fellow architects, students, and press.

  • Designing the user journey and experience, ensuring it aligns with the brand's identity and the expectations of the user base.

Solution
  • Research & Ideation: Conducted stakeholder interviews and user surveys to gather insights into what the visitors seek in an architectural website.

  • Wireframing: Developed initial wireframes outlining the structure of the website, focusing on a seamless user flow.

  • Design: Leveraged Figma to create high-fidelity mockups that balanced aesthetics with usability. Incorporated large visual elements to showcase architectural projects, intuitive navigation to guide users, and dedicated sections for the firm's design philosophy, project case studies, team introduction, and contact.

  • Prototyping & Feedback: Created an interactive prototype in Figma and gathered feedback from potential users and stakeholders, iterating on the design based on the feedback received.
